ArcelorMittal (NYSE:MT ) increased its coil offer price to €820/ton for hot-rolled coal and €940/ton for hot-dip galvanized, Argus reported Monday.
The latest quotation is up by €40/ton from the company's last official offer prices of €780/ton for hot rolled coil and €900/ton for hot-dip galvanized, according to the report.
Argus' benchmark daily northwest European Union HRC index rose by €21.25/ton last week alone as buyers that needed supplies gave in to higher prices, and Argus' headline daily Italian HRC index has climbed by €11.50/ton so far this month to €765.75/ton.
Galvanized Insulated Steel Pipe ArcelorMittal (MT) recently said it is gradually bringing idled production capacity back online in Europe as market conditions improve, and reported better than expected Q4 adjusted earnings and revenues.
